The Executive Secretary of Caritas Ghana, Mr. Samuel Zan Akologo, on behalf of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference (GCBC), has presented a Cheque for GH¢ 10,000 to the St. Francis R/C Primary and Junior High School at Tuobodom in the Techiman Diocese.
The School was on April 5, 2017, hit by a heavy rainstorm which resulted in extensive damage to the classroom blocks, the electricity poles and other school property.
Mr. Akologo indicated that the donation was part of the Solidarity Fund of the GCBC, which was meant to support people in emergency situations.
He encouraged Catholics to donate generously to the Fund as it was part of the Church’s mission to develop and ensure the dignity of the human person.
Very Rev. Fr. Paul Ameyaw, the Chancellor of the Diocese and the Pastor of the Tuobodom Church who received the cheque on behalf of the Bishop and the School, thanked the GCBC for coming to their aid.
